Do I have to be local to your area to work with you?
No, that is not necessary. All information can be exchanged via email, telephone, Yahoo Messenger or Skype. I have served clients in Europe, the U.K. and Canada.

What information do you need from me to write compelling copy?
I need to know everything there is to know about your business – and then some. Contact with some of your customers or clients, for instance, can often reveal positive information about your business that you may not even be aware of.

My business involves proprietary information that should not be revealed to outsiders.
That’s not a problem. I will sign your non-disclosure agreement.

Can you help me with general marketing questions?
Most of my clients have benefitted from my 30+ years of marketing experience. Just let me know what you need. If I cannot help you, I will refer you to someone who can. My focus is on writing for clients who have a good idea of who their prospects are and how to reach them.

What is the first step I should take to find out more?
There is an inquiry form on my Contact page. The more information you share about your project, the quicker the project can be finished.

Do you charge for a phone consultation?
An initial get-acquainted conversation up to 45 minutes is free of charge.

What are your rates?
For research, copywriting, telephone, messaging and email time my rate is $75.00/hour, billed in 15-minute increments. For translations from and into German my rate is $0.05/word.

How do I know how long my project will take you?
I will ascertain that from our initial, free get-acquainted conversation and prepare a project proposal with a total project cost. Under certain circumstances I may have to quote a cost range. My work begins when my proposal is signed by the client.

What if I change my mind about something?
Changes that require additional time will be quoted and billed separately.

What if I have to abandon the project halfway through?
The work that has been completed will be supplied and billed, and is payable as agreed.

What are your payment terms?
Payment is due on receipt of invoice and may be made by check or via PayPal. Payments via PayPal incur a 3.5% surcharge.

Who owns the copyright to your work?
The copyright passes to you upon payment of my invoice.

Do you guarantee your work?
I guarantee that my work will be professional and compelling, and will be delivered as agreed.

Do you guarantee results?
No writer can guarantee results. As important as the message is, the writer has no influence over elements like:

• Quality of product or service

• Price of product or service

• Quality of marketing effort

• Targeting of audience
